That’s not rare to feel stuck.

From time to time, I feel it. It’s that feeling that I don’t know what to do, where to go, the next step to take. Or I know all of these answers but somehow I can’t step forward to my goals.

Frequently, it’s the overwhelming thoughts (many things that I want to do at the same time) the case of this problem. That’s hard to establish priorities and follow them. See? I wrote priorities, if it’s a priority it should be just one based on Oxford’s dictionary definition:

something that you think is more important than other things and should be dealt with first

That fact of not choosing what to do first, makes me feel stuck. Stuck between following my desire or my duty.

It’s a powerless feeling that pushes me down and somehow prevents me to go ahead with my plans. Sometimes, it’s outside events, other emotional feelings. It seems that my mind is spinning on a dime with a million thoughts that don’t talk to each other.

So, the question is: what to do when you feel stuck?

Reflecting by myself I got the following steps to overcome this awkward feeling:

Firstly, stop and take a deep breath. Come back to the inner intentions. Why have I planned it? What are the goals? What is preventing me to get there?

Secondly, remember that day after day is one blank page of the book that you can do whatever you want to. So, relax and write it down WHY you have not done what you have planned and WHERE or with WHO  you are spending your energy.  Getting these answers will help you to change the gear of your actions.

Thirdly, remember that all these hardships of life are our own doing. Most of the time, we chose to do it. So take it easy.
